Uses |
1. Used as a solvent for nitrocellulose paint, printing ink, natural and synthetic resins, etc. It is also used for dry cleaning liquids, adhesives, anti scaling agents, and spices. It is a high boiling solvent used in natural resins, synthetic resins, paints, and printing inks.
2. Cosmetic solvents. It is mainly used as the main solvent of nail polish and other cosmetics. Nitrocellulose and other film forming agents have excellent solubility and usually require the addition of co solvents to regulate viscosity and volatilization rate. |
